On Friday we did a pre-wed shoot for the lovely Rosa and Ian who are getting married at the beginning of June.
Most couples feel nervous and self conscious about being photographed - I include myself in this! I mean, not everyone is into public displays of affection and whilst all couples share a closeness quite often this may not be demonstrated in public. So the pre-wed shoots are a perfect time to get used to being photographed and build up a trust with the photographer to enable the couple relax and the photographer to capture images which reflect the couples relationship. Inevitably, and certainly in Rosa and Ian's case, by the end of the session we have bagged a great set of lovely intimate images. The experience enables us to work efficiently and at ease on their big day. Here are a few pics below ...

I did a pre-wed shoot on Bank Holiday Monday for the very lovely Heather and Rob who are getting married next month. The pre wed shoots are an excellent way for couples to get used to being photographed. On their big day couples feel a lot more relaxed about being photographed which help us to get the pictures quickly and without drama. They also get to bag a few informal shots of themselves!
There are a few pictures below from the shoot which we did in the gardens of Reed Hall, http://www.exeter.ac.uk/reedhall/weddings.php) a beautiful wedding venue in Exeter.

Yesterday I spent the afternoon with the very lovely JJ, a guitarist from Fleet with the aim of getting a good selection of head shots and arty pictures for promotional purposes. Despite the rubbish weather we managed to get a good selection of portraits from the session using a mixture of flash and natural lighting. Big thanks to William Elworthy for lending us his very beautiful barns providing a perfect rustic backdrop! Check out JJ on Myspace - www.myspace.com/johnsonjaylive Some pictures below...

The Swiss Photo Shoot
On Friday I photographed Steve, Simon and Dave who were after promotional images for their band, The Swiss. Check them out at www.myspace.com/stevedownmusic or at http://www.the-swiss.co.uk/

The guys booked an afternoon session giving us plenty of time for a few outfit and location changes. This provided a good variety of pictures which they can use to market themselves in a number of different ways. Having had plenty of beautiful weather in the run up to the shoot we based the session outside with an indoor backup plan. Fortunately the weather was on our side and we managed to finish up seconds before the heavens opened!
We used a combination of natural light mixed in with a bit of flash just for drama! A small selection of images from the day can be seen below...
